We received two reports in relation to the park of Hotel Belvedere via the Green Phone of Association Žmergo.

The hotel is closed during winter season, and therefore it does not clean its environment and obviously becomes a target for vandalism. The first report concerns the steel structure rammed into a live tree - cypress, and the other concerns the overturned or otherwise overflowing garbage can (nobody emptied it since the hotel was closed).

During the summer, Eko Pan received a call to the Green Phone from the city Tounj (near Ogulin) regarding improper disposal of barrels with unknown content on a private parcel.

Given that over the past few months illegal depositing of nearly 80 barrels of hazardous waste has been recorded in Karlovačka County, citizens have become very sensitive to these illicit phenomena.

At the corner of Meštrović Square and Vankina ulica in Zagreb, there used to be an open dump on public green area which was set on fire and part of the can also burnt down.

After that incident the waste was removed, but soon afterwards even greater waste was created. Citizens called the GP of the Green Action in panic, because they feared that there will be another fire.

We notified the municipal services, as well as HTV (Croatian television) team who recorded a report about it. After a few days all waste was removed.

We received reports from several citizens via the Green Phone of Association "Krka" Knin about almost everyday incineration on the same location in Knin, along the river Marčinkovac, during the last 6 months.

Most of the smoke was present at dawn (around 06:00 a.m.). We notified the city of Knin, municipal services monitoring officers, firefighters and the police.

Although the law clearly regulates the obligation of local government to take measures for rehabilitation of wild landfills, it is not applied in practice, at least not so easily.

Recently, the Green Phone of Association Green Osijek received a report of one such site in the town of Vukovar. It is a plot owned by the Croatian Railways, which is not in operation and which is regularly used by the local population as a landfill.

Through the Green Ecological Phone company Krka - Knin we received the report from the citizen of Knin via the Green Phone of the Ecological Company Krka on the disposal of construction waste (mostly old asphalt) on a private parcel as a result of the construction i.e. reconstruction of state road Tomislavova in Knin.

We received a report of illegal landfill of bulky and construction waste in the area of the Municipality of Vrsi via the Green Phone of Eko Zadar.

The open dump is located on the way to the well field Golubinka (a few minutes from the detour from the main road towards the water wells, mostly on the right side of the road, and the waste consists of old mattresses, furniture, construction waste, miscellaneous...).

The report is registered under number 134/2015, and we sent it to the municipal services of the Municipality of Vrsi.

Last month the legal team of the Association for nature, environment and sustainable development Sunce received a report via the Freen phone concerning an illegal disposal of mixed waste and general messy state of a facility located in the centre of the town of Sinj.

We received a report for the open dump at the entrance to the city of Varaždin via the Green phone of the Association Franjo Koščec.
The accumulations of various wastes (bulk, construction waste) are located on the plots owned by the city of Varaždin.

We forwarded the report to the city of Varaždin, the Administrative Department of Public Utilities and Urban Planning, which then went to the field and took appropriate measures for the treatment of waste.
